Reminders for Wednesday...Tri Practise...Tech and Swimming Sport Long distance Events

Evening all,
Tomorrow we have our first Year 7 triathlon practise. If your child has a bike it would be great to have it come to school. Bikes may be locked in the bike shed and if your child does not have a lock we can place them in our cloak bay. I strongly encourage every child in 22@Gisint to meet the challenge and complete the individual and team events. The course is not a long one but it provides enough challenge and fun for all fitness levels and abilities. Thank you all in advance for supporting me with this as the children really do feel proud of themselves for completing both of these events. Our actual Year 7 Turanganui triathlon is next week and the top place getters will go through to the school tri later in the term.

Good luck to Alessandra Evans and Emily Horne who are competing in the log distance swimming events tomorrow. Both girls are placed in the top 6 girls and the results tomorrow will go toward the overall Year 7 girls Championship points. Congratulations to Emily who also competed in the Junior Nationals for swimming last weekend in Wellington and took 1 second off her 50m Butterfly PB.

Tech was excellent today and I continue to be super impressed with the classes organisation. There is some amazing tech work being completed. We have another tech session tomorrow after lunch so please ensure your child has their correct shoes again if they are in cooking or woodwork.

Gisint Daily Notices Don't forget that all students have a link to these notices in their Google Drive account. We read them every morning in class but it would be good for them to show you at home too so you know what opportunities are available.
