Bonjour 22'ers,
Firstly to all of our epals in France at the Anne Frank school as well as all of our French friends and whanau here in Gisborne, we are thinking about you all. I have sent a message on behalf of our class to our epals to let them know that they are in our thoughts and that we will be writing to them tomorrow. I hope all of you that have family and friends in France are ok.
I would like to congratulate Rigante Keelan who sat his Level 1 NCEA Te Reo exam at Boys High last Wednesday. This exam was 3 hours long and Rigante coped extremely well with the demands of not only the exam but also the extra workload throughout this year. He will now have a wee wait until his results come out in January. Tau ke Rigante!
Well done also to our awesome 1-4 runners who braved the cold last Friday to compete in the 100m and 200m events and did our class proud.
Special mention to Jasmyn Broughton and Jade Vercoe who were extremely reluctant to compete but who persevered, competed and ended up doing very well in their races. A full write up of the results will be in this week's school newsletter.

The final day for 2015 is Tuesday the 15th December. Our end of year prizegiving will be held at the YMCA on this day from 10am to 12:00pm. I will email all families of students who are going to receive certificates or awards at this assembly as soon as they are finalised so you can arrange to be there.
We also have special sports award and arts/cultural award evenings where students are celebrated for their achievements in these arenas. Students will receive invitations if they will be receiving certificates at these assemblies.
Finally, congratulations to Aaliyah Taylor-Elliffe and Rigante Keelan for receiving our class certificates at assembly last week. Both students are a pleasure to have in our room. Well done also to Sophie Kelly who was our student of the week. There will be a full write up on why Sophie is so deserving of this award in this week's school newsletter. I am really looking forward to having more of our class celebrated at the end of year prizegivings.
Soph is pictured below with Jamie Paratene who was also the recipient this week.
