Week 9 is here and only 1 week to go until Action Week!!

Kia ora Koutou,
The countdown is on until we get to celebrate another fantastic term at Gisint by travelling all around the motu or engaging in lots of spectacular learning experiences back here at home.

Our Samoan travellers above and below is Rigante and Mr Udall on their way to the plane

Our Samoan travellers Giorgia, Rigante and Jade left Gizzy on Friday night and I received word from Mr Udall this afternoon that they had all arrived safely and were enjoying the sunshine and local hospitality. There will be final action week meetings on Monday at lunchtime so it is highly likely that your child will come home with another newsletter. Here is a list of departure days and times but these will be confirmed again on Monday.

If you are not currently friends with the school on Facebook then it would be a good idea to like our page as we regularly update it with important information and photos.

Congratulations to all of our 22'ers who represented their chosen groups in our school variety show last week. The children had a hectic schedule performing six times over three days. The Variety show is a chance for the students who do extension activities as a part of our Friday programme to showcase their learning. Thank you to everyone who came along to support the students and a special well done to..

Last Monday we were also very fortunate to host Riley and Steve Hathaway from The Young Ocean Explorers and Katharine Holdsworth. These guest speakers were in to talk to the children about protecting our oceans, setting goals and future focused learning. Both lots of speakers were fantastic to listen to and passed on many valuable lessons to our children.
