Go the All Blacks!!

Morning everyone,

No doubt most of you watched the All Blacks proudly this morning and are starting the day on a high because of the fantastic outcome of that game.

I am back on board tomorrow and look forward to seeing all of my class. Miss Beattie, Miss Gee and Mrs Joll all filled me in throughout last week to say what a fantastic bunch of kids I have in room 22 and how well they all managed while I was absent. I am also very appreciative of the numerous emails I received from the kids and our room 22 whanau while I was still in America and while I was at my uncle's tangi at the end of last week. Thank you all for your support.

Toni and I are going to send home a newsletter home this week to confirm parent support for our end of year excursion to Omaio Bay. Before I lock in this camp with senior management I want to make sure that we have the parental support in regards to transportation, parental leave and willingness to pay the $90 camp cost. Toni and I know that this is an expensive time of the year for families and that leave is precious so close to Christmas so we want to get your feedback on whether to go ahead. We would both love to spend the final week of what has been an incredible year for us both with our children but will go with your wishes. Should the camp not have enough support we will plan alternative day trips out at a much cheaper cost.

Tomorrow Turanganui syndicate begins their Ripper Rugby Tournament to coincide with the RWC. The children are in the same teams that they were for our netball tournament and are listed above. A reminder that everyone should have the correct PE gear everyday or a note with an alternative set to avoid a trip to the reflection room. Drink bottles and hats are also advisable this term as the weather begins to heat up.

Here is a look at what's in store for us this week.

Finally, I am looking forward to tidying up our Fun Theory projects, pick a path books and RWC projects this week. Did any of you see the fun theory rubbish bin out at the show? It is great to see these types of things in action as they are a fabulous way of modifying people's negative behaviour through something fun.

Our class are hoping to trial some of our ideas in the school to see if we can help sort our rubbish issues. I will keep you updated on our progress.

Have a wonderful week everyone!
